Goodbye for now

Darren is leaving on his mission for our our church to Manaus, Brazil. He enters the MTC this Wednesday.

Darren, I have enjoyed these past 10 months getting to know you, becoming your friend, and eventually your girlfriend. You don't know how much your friendship means to me and how much you have changed me as a person for the better. I'm not sure that I have ever had as much fun with another person as I have had with you. You just make me so darn happy!

Although I am sad to say goodbye, I am so happy with your decision to serve a mission for our church and I know that you will have an incredible impact on the people of Manaus.

I wish you luck these next two years, and I can't wait to reunite July 2012!

Birthday weekend

I had a wonderful birthday this year because Darren came all the way to Kansas to visit! We celebrated by going to Izumi's, a Japanese steakhouse for dinner on my birthday, going to The Plaza, swimming, eating Oklahoma Joe's, visiting the church sites, and going to a Royal's game on Memorial Day. I can't sleep. And I'm thinking about Darren. I really miss him. Like, a lot.

And I forget how to find skype snapshots on my computer again, but I have lots of good pictures to share.
